Harry Kappen’s newest release is a full-length album is called: ‘Time will tell'. You can order it in the store.

The new album contains 12 songs, including the 3 singles of '23 and '24 ; 'The freedom inside', 'Not all of us agreed' and 'One life'. They did very well on Spotify with half a million hits!
The album gives an insight into Harry's own universe, his private space of thoughts, his world of ideas; 12 Original, personal, catchy songs about his dreams, his fears, his love and his future. From ballad to rock, from funky pop songs to songs with a country feel.

The fifth single release from  'Time will tell'. 
‘Where the volcano is awake’ is a catchy song about saying goodbye to his own country the Netherlands and about freedom, expectations and his love for the homeland of his beloved wife  from Mexico. 'A perfect road song’ to sing along to in your car.  Without knowing how the future will turn out Harry still takes on a new challenge  relying on his own abilities and the love of the people around him.

This song is the fourth single from the new full album 'Time will tell'. 

'Cool down' is an urgent appeal to humanity to slow down, not to get ahead of yourself, to keep everything in perspective, to give yourself the time to realize what is really important to you and the people around you. It's available on all streaming platforms worldwide.

One life  ('23/'24)

‘One Life’ is a heartfelt ballad that will resonate with listeners during this time of reflection and connection. In a world rife with conflict and confusion, Harry’s yearning for love, light, and warmth is a poignant reminder to embrace the present and cherish every moment.  The release of  ‘One Life’ followed the success of Harry’s previous singles, ‘Not all of us agreed’ and ‘The Freedom Inside’, which garnered over 140,000 and 220,000 hits on Spotify respectively. With 'One life', Harry is poised to build on his growing fan base and establish himself as a prominent figure in the Dutch music scene.

Not all of us agreed  ('23)

Dutch singer-songwriter and music therapist, Harry Kappen, released this single “Not all of us agreed”. This song is an indictment of the rapid development of new technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence, and the many questions it raises for human beings. The lyrics of the song provide an avenue to think about our current and future interaction with technology. It questions the reality of the news we see, if we will one day communicate with our government only through robots, and whether humans will eventually turn into algorithms.

The freedom inside  ('23)

Dutch musician, multi-instrumentalist and music therapist Harry Kappen is known for making bold political statements and raising awareness on global issues through his music. While his previous music often calls for large-scale global change, his latest single “The Freedom Inside” is a gentle reminder for people to start a positive change from within themselves, which will ultimately impact the world.

Seperate single:   Wargames ('22)

In the beginning of 2022 Russia attacked Ukraine and the atmosphere in Europe changed completely. During the summer, Harry realized that there were no protest songs in the Dutch charts. In general you could say that musicians do not speak out against abuses and threats, while there is reason enough to protest, you would think. (Ukrainian war, climate change, fake news, ignorance, etc). How different it was in the 60s and 70s during the Vietnam War.   So Harry made this new song about this subject and released the single 'Wargames'.

Album:        Escape. ('22)

His full album 'Escape'  (spring '22) contains songs about escaping reality, escaping violence, even life, escaping into love, dreams or art. It became a personal journey with personal lyrics.  'Barefoot in the dew' was the only single from this album.

A single with a hippy feel. 

This song was discovered by some Canadian, English and Welch radiostations. It was the beginning of Harry's solo career, because soon after this release Harry was asked to join a radioprogram in the USA by David Bowers.  David introduced him to Michael Stover (MTSmanagementgroup) from Pittsburgh. The rest is history.

Hanneke Kappen and Harry Kappen; brother and sister have been making music together since they were little. They played separately in countless bands and music projects. In 2015, the plan arose to write and record songs together. There were so many ideas.  A creative explosion was the result. And an album full of new music.
